dc.description | Introduction: Oxidation of Uric Acid with Hydrogen Peroxide. At the present time the oxidation of uric acid with hydrogen peroxide in alkaline solution may be formulated as follows ... Each reaction is apparently independent of the other two. Allantoin is formed when the oxidation is carried out in weakly alkaline solution and the solution then slightly acidified; at high temperatures (80 or 90) it goes over readily to cyanuric acid. Carbonyl-di- urea is also formed at 90 when the alkaline concentration is low. It is transformed in 0.51N alkali. to cyanuric acid with or without hydrogen peroxide. acid Allantoxanic is obtained only when the oxidation is carried out in about normal alkili and when the excess peroxide is decomposed by manganese dioxide before acidifying. No intermediates have been found between uric acid and the final oxidation products ... Oxidation of Uric Acid with Potassium Permanganate ... Action of Alkali on Substituted Uric Acids ... Action of Alkali on Caffein. | en_US |
