Syllabus

Scope

Financial principles, management of innovation, technical strategy, engineering project planning and control, human factors, sales and legal issues, and career planning. Case study method of instruction emphasizes participation in class discussion.

Credit and Workload

This course is a 12-unit subject. Each week, on the average, the course requires 3 hours of lecture or class discussion, 1 hour of group discussion, and 8 hours of study and preparation for the class discussion.

Grading Policy

Your grade will be based on your overall attendance and performance in classes:

  • A quiz
  • Class attendance and 1-page write-up on each case
  • Class participation
  • A term group project
